What You’ll Need:
- Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying needs and backgrounds
- Commitment to working in a team with teachers, therapists, and families
- Reliable and flexible attitude, especially regarding onsite requirements
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support accommodation plans
- Observe and document students’ progress, providing feedback to the therapy team
- Adapt therapy plans to meet diverse developmental and functional needs
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and staff training sessions
- Encourage growth in daily living, fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
