Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a school environment
- Strong understanding of pediatric development and interventions for school-aged children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt and innovate in fast-paced, diverse educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support students in achieving goals related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Collect and document data on student progress, maintaining accurate records in line with school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions as needed
