What We're Looking For:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant certification required
- Demonstrated school-based COTA experience is a must
- Ability to work collaboratively with occupational therapists, teachers, and support staff
- Strong communication skills for effective interactions with students, families, and school personnel
- Exhibit flexibility, enthusiasm, and compassion in a diverse school environment
- Ready to commit to a full-time, 40 hour per week schedule onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and documentation under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Adapt and implement interventions to help students develop fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills within the school setting
- Support teachers and staff with strategies and accommodations to ensure student success and accessibility
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings as required
