You’ll play a critical role in collaborating with teachers and staff to facilitate student progress and create supportive educational environments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active Michigan Occupational Therapy or COTA licensure required
- Prior experience in school-based settings essential
- Strong comfort level working with students who have disabilities
- Familiarity with IEP procedures, progress monitoring, and school documentation
- Capable of working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Must be able to provide proof of licensure via Michigan’s public license verification portal
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to a diverse K-12 caseload
- Conduct assessments and create data-driven therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student growth
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress
- Attend and actively contribute to IEP meetings when needed
