A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is needed to support students throughout a district-wide assignment in a contract role beginning August 27, 2026, for approximately 12 weeks, with possible extension. Key Qualifications:
- Active COTA license/certification (CT DPH license and successful completion of NBCOT Exam)
- Experience in school-based settings is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work with students of diverse ages and disabilities
- Reliable transportation, as the position involves traveling to multiple schools within the district
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with an Occupational Therapist to deliver and implement individualized treatment plans
- Support the functional and academic success of students by providing direct occupational therapy services
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress through clear, accurate notes and communication
- Work effectively with educational teams, parents, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive care
- Adapt to flexible daily schedules and responsibilities across multiple grade levels and settings
