Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license (required)
- Certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Comfortable working with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Collaborative mindset to work alongside teachers, specialists, and families
- Ability to assess student needs and develop effective intervention plans
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in accordance with IEP goals
- Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development
- Educate staff and families about OT strategies and accommodations
- Adapt therapeutic techniques to suit varied learning environments
