Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Michigan OT license (must be able to present a copy)
- Prior experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting is highly valued
- Skills in evaluating and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication for collaboration with teachers, families, and administrators
- Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create effective, student-centered treatment plans
- Deliver OT services to students as specified in their IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Document service delivery and maintain accurate records according to school and regulatory standards
- Consult and provide recommendations to faculty on classroom accommodations and strategies to support access to the curriculum
- Educate families on activities and interventions that can be continued at home to reinforce goals
