Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong assessment and documentation skills for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Adaptable and creative when addressing diverse needs in a school environment
- Reliable and committed to the entirety of the contract period
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Evaluate, document, and monitor student progress in collaboration with educational teams
- Develop therapy goals tailored to individual strengths and challenges
- Consult and train staff and families regarding strategies for classroom and home success
- Support the inclusion of students with varying abilities across school environments
- Maintain up-to-date records and participate in IEP meetings as required
