Required Skills and Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience delivering OT services in a school setting strongly preferred
- Proficient in assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized student therapy plans
- Skilled at collaborating with educators, families, and other support professionals
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to be onsite for scheduled sessions throughout the school year
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments tailored to each student's educational needs
- Develop and execute Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in partnership with the educational team
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students on your caseload
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation on student progress and services provided
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations to maximize student outcomes
- Support teachers and staff with strategies to integrate OT interventions within classroom routines
- Adapt equipment and materials to facilitate student engagement and independence
