Make a real difference in the lives of students as a contract Occupational Therapist supporting K–12 learners across a dynamic school environment. This exciting position invites you to deliver essential OT services to multiple schools within the Hendry County area, offering both variety in your daily work and the unique reward of shaping educational experiences for children and adolescents.
In this school-based setting, you’ll provide targeted interventions to help students develop the skills they need to succeed both academically and socially. Your flexibility and enthusiasm for working with a diverse range of needs will be highly valued as you travel to different sites within the county (assignments determined during the summer).
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Florida Occupational Therapy license
- Experience working in schools (preferred)
- Willingness and ability to travel between multiple schools throughout Hendry County
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions and consultative services for students in K–12 settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate documentation
- Adapt therapy sessions and strategies to fit diverse student populations and needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student success across school sites
