Make a difference in the lives of K–12 students as a contract Occupational Therapist, providing impactful services across multiple school sites in a vibrant, collaborative educational setting. You'll work with a diverse range of students, supporting their growth and helping them reach their fullest potential throughout Hendry County. Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for empowering students are essential, as this role covers several schools within the district—travel between sites is required, with assignments provided over the summer.
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida OT license required
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy highly valued
- Comfortable serving K–12 age groups and collaborating with educators and families
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule and travel within the county
- Strong communication and organization skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K–12 students across assigned school sites
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ IEP goals
- Maintain documentation and progress reports according to school and legal requirements
- Integrate creative therapeutic strategies to foster student independence and participation in school routines
- Drive between schools as needed to meet student needs across Hendry County
