School Occupational Therapist | Arlington, Washington
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ growth and achievement as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract position in the Arlington, WA area provides the opportunity to serve a diverse, districtwide population of approximately 60 students while enjoying a collaborative work environment.
Candidates for this role will deliver OT services in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs), focusing on functional skills that support academic success and independence. The schedule consists of 35 hours per week, allowing you to engage with students across various age groups and support their unique needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license
- ESA certificate through OSPI (required)
- Experience delivering occupational therapy in a school-based setting is highly valued
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy best practices, especially within an educational environment
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication abilities
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability when working with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive OT assessments and therapy to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and legal standards
- Contribute to IEP meetings and the development of student goals and accommodations
- Consult with staff and families to promote strategies that enhance student participation and achievement
