This full-time, on-site contract offers an exciting opportunity to support student success across elementary, middle, and high school campuses on the western side of Wake County. The district operates on a progressive workload model, ensuring alignment with the needs of the therapy team and students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum of one year of school-based Occupational Therapy experience required
- Previous experience with North Carolina schools strongly preferred
- Current OT license in North Carolina (NCBOT)
- Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s degree preferred)
- ECATS and IEP documentation experience is essential
- Proficiency in Sensory Processing Measure–2 (SPM-2) and Sensory Profile 2
- Familiarity with school-based standardized assessments and application of results to educational programming
- Ability to obtain NPI number and register with NC Tracks prior to start
- Must complete DCDEE fingerprinting and district background check
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and services in accordance with IEPs and state standards
- Conduct motor screenings and comprehensive OT assessments
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and participation
- Maintain thorough and timely service documentation using ECATS
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs within a school setting
