Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary school teams
- Commitment to fostering student development and independence
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement Occupational Therapy services tailored to students’ individual needs within an educational setting
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ functional, social, and academic goals
- Monitor and document progress, modifying interventions as needed
- Provide consultation and training to school personnel regarding occupational therapy strategies
- Promote independence, participation, and positive outcomes for students of varying abilities
