Make a genuine impact supporting K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on site for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract position is based close to Arlington Heights, IL, and offers an engaging opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and staff in an educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois OT or COTA license required
- Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Proficiency in delivering occupational therapy services tailored to students’ educational needs
- Ability to adjust seamlessly to evolving caseloads and student requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across K-12, supporting individual education plans and academic success
- Assess students to develop and implement therapy interventions suited to their unique needs
- Participate actively in new hire orientation scheduled for August 12-14 and prepare for the start of the academic year
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support overall student success
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation for all services provided, in line with district and state guidelines
- Engage in team meetings, parent conferences, and staff development opportunities as required
