This contract opportunity is designed for experienced occupational therapists eager to make a meaningful difference across multiple school sites. You’ll work closely with students from Pre-K through age 22, tailoring interventions to address their unique developmental and educational needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Active clinical license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Valid educator license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Previous school-based experience is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
- Must be able to travel between different elementary, middle, and high schools during the week
- Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and expedited credentialing
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs and abilities
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with state and district requirements
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to support IEP goals and maximize student participation in school activities
- Serve as a vital resource on best practices for adaptive strategies, equipment recommendations, and classroom modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a supportive, team-focused environment
