Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based environment highly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging, individualized treatment plans
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop intervention plans tailored to support their academic and functional goals
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in individual or group settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into the learning environment
- Monitor progress, maintain precise documentation, and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Educate school staff and families on accommodations to promote student independence
- Adapt equipment and materials as necessary for student participation
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where all students can thrive
