Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience within a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt interventions to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for development
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within the educational framework
- Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure integrated, classroom-based interventions
- Provide direct and consultative Occupational Therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Educate and advise parents and caregivers on strategies to enhance skill development at home
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district requirements
