Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active license to practice Occupational Therapy in Illinois
- Proven experience in school settings and home healthcare preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles and best practices
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to diverse student needs
- Collaborative mindset for working with educators, families, and allied professionals
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs in motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Design and execute Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and therapy interventions tailored to each student
- Deliver occupational therapy services across school and home health environments
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistency and carryover of therapy strategies
- Maintain diligent records and progress reports in accordance with school and healthcare guidelines
- Participate in case conferences, professional development, and ongoing team meetings
