This role offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, onsite during standard school hours, serving as a valued W-2 employee. With no travel between sites during the school day, you’ll be able to focus on providing high-quality therapy in both general education/resource rooms and select self-contained special education classrooms. The position starts immediately for the current school year, with interviews taking place virtually for your convenience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Illinois
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience preferred
- Knowledge in sensory integration practices
- Experience setting goals and progress noting for school-aged children
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in grades K-8
- Develop and track individualized goals and progress
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ needs in general and special education settings
- Rotate between two campuses, one site per day with no mid-day travel
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
