We're seeking two dedicated OTs for contract positions, each offering a unique opportunity to provide vital support to young learners in a dynamic school setting near Aurora, IL.
Opportunities Available:
- First Position: Provide coverage for two non-concurrent leaves across two elementary schools throughout the full academic year, with full-time hours totaling 35+ per week.
- Second Position: Fill a full-time maternity leave at an elementary school from October through April, also offering 35+ hours weekly.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois.
- Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with elementary-aged children.
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and work closely with teachers, administrators, and families.
- A passion for fostering growth and helping students reach their fullest potential.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students according to their educational needs.
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and contribute to student planning meetings.
- Create and monitor individualized treatment plans, focusing on enhancing fine motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive functioning.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines.
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams to support student success and address barriers to learning.
