Occupational Therapist School Setting - Bear, DE

As an experienced occupational therapist, you’ll manage remote evaluations and participate in tri-annual IEP meetings, ensuring students receive the guidance and advocacy they need. Previous supervision experience and current credentials meeting Delaware’s requirements are essential.
What we’re looking for:
- Active Delaware OT license and eligibility to supervise COTAs
- Proven history of remote and school-based occupational therapy services
- Prior experience overseeing COTAs in an educational setting
- Strong communication skills for collaboration and virtual meetings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and the ability to perform assessments virtually
Your role will include:
- Supervising up to 2 COTAs, providing guidance and ensuring compliance
- Conducting virtual evaluations for assigned students
- Attending and contributing to tri-annual IEP meetings
- Maintaining thorough documentation and collaborating with school teams
- Adhering to all district and state licensure standards
Candidates should be aware of Delaware’s contractor requirements: $85 background check/fingerprinting is required, along with completion of the district’s contractor packet. The review process, including documentation like a fingerprint receipt and Child Protective Registry Check, typically takes up to five business days before scheduling your district badge.
