- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, administrators, and families
- Adaptability and creative problem-solving skills in a school context
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to support learning and participation
- Deliver evidence-based OT services both individually and in small group settings
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute occupational therapy perspectives to IEP planning and progress monitoring
- Maintain thorough records of assessments, interventions, and student progress in compliance with school and state requirements
- Educate school staff and families on strategies and tools to enhance student engagement in academics and daily activities
- Participate in professional development and remain knowledgeable about current best practices in pediatric and school OT
