Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Vermont Occupational Therapy (OT) Certificate required
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred, with any K-12 background highly desirable
- Strong communication and consultative skills; comfort working with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to organize caseloads effectively across multiple buildings
- Commitment to evidence-based interventions and professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide scheduled OT services to students in grades K-12, meeting IEP goals
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and school-based planning sessions
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support students in and beyond the classroom
- Collaborate with general and special education colleagues, adapting approaches as needed
