Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bensalem, PA

Step into an impactful opportunity supporting preschool-aged children as a contracted school Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This position will focus on Early Intervention and Extended School Year services, serving families and educators throughout the Lower Bucks County area, including Morrisville, Yardley, and Newtown. Anticipate working part-time hours (approximately 15 hours weekly) during the summer session, then transitioning to expanded hours as the academic year progresses and referrals are received.
Ideal candidates will bring over a year of hands-on school-based OT expertise and be eager to foster growth and independence for a diverse range of preschool students. Your specialized skill set and compassion will support young learners' development, collaborating closely with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Active, valid Occupational Therapy licensure for Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric OT experience within a school setting
- Demonstrated understanding of Early Intervention and ESY programs
- Comfort independently managing a preschool caseload and collaborating with teachers and caregivers
- Compliance with all state, district, and legal requirements for school OT professionals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized therapy sessions and support for preschool-aged children, both for ESY and through the full school year
- Assess students’ needs and develop targeted intervention plans
- Engage in regular communication with families, educators, and district staff
- Document progress and maintain all required service logs
- Adapt schedules in accordance with evolving caseload and school year calendar
