Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bensalem, PA

Make a lasting impact supporting preschoolers as a contract Occupational Therapist serving the Lower Bucks County region throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This unique opportunity focuses on the Extended School Year (ESY) program, beginning part-time in the summer and expanding during the academic year in alignment with student needs and referrals. You’ll serve multiple areas, including Morrisville, Yardley, and Newtown, delivering vital Early Intervention occupational therapy in dynamic school settings.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist license in good standing
- At least one year of experience providing OT services in a school setting (required—no new graduates at this time)
- In-depth knowledge of school-based therapy practice, particularly with preschool-age children
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and team members
- Reliable transportation to travel between school sites within the Lower Bucks County region
- Strong documentation, assessment, and organization abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct OT evaluations, develop individualized goals, and provide direct therapy services for preschool students
- Collaborate closely with Early Intervention teams, educators, and caregivers to support each student’s development
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings when necessary
- Adapt therapy plans as student needs evolve during the school year
- Support children in achieving developmental milestones and functional independence within classroom routines
This is a contract opportunity starting July 6, 2026 through June 11, 2027 (tentative, following the academic year calendar). During the summer, the role is part-time (approx. 15 hours/week), with increased hours anticipated once the school year begins.
