Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Massachusetts OT licensure (or eligibility)
- Experience in a school-based setting supporting K-5 students preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP procedures and pediatric therapy best practices
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Ability to tailor interventions and adapt materials for diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Evaluate students using standardized assessments and develop measurable goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into the school environment
- Write thorough, timely documentation and contribute actively to IEP meetings
- Support the development of fine motor, sensory integration, and self-care skills
- Maintain adaptive equipment and materials
- Engage in ongoing professional growth to inform current best practices
