As an experienced Occupational Therapist, you’ll have the opportunity to positively impact early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school students in a contract-based position. This role is essential in helping students gain the skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Washington
- Previous experience working in school settings is highly valued
- Confidence supporting students from Pre-K through Grade 12
- Excellent communication skills to interact with students, educators, and families
- Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborative approach with teaching teams and special education staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment strategies tailored to individual student needs
- Provide both direct and consultative OT services to students across all assigned grades
- Work closely with teachers on interventions that enhance classroom participation and development
- Document progress, maintain necessary records, and participate in meetings for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster an inclusive and engaging environment that encourages student growth
- Offer support for both academic and life skills within the school setting
