Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist license (Washington state).
- Previous experience working as an OT in school environments highly preferred.
- Familiarity with creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and maintain accurate documentation.
- Adaptable, with a passion for supporting students’ diverse needs and promoting their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to students with varying needs.
- Develop, review, and update IEP goals in collaboration with educators and special services teams.
- Monitor student progress, adjust therapy strategies as needed, and communicate outcomes with stakeholders.
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within classroom and pull-out settings.
- Educate staff and parents on strategies, modifications, and adaptive equipment to enhance student participation and success.
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with state and federal special education guidelines.
