Desired Background & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license required
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication abilities with students, educators, and families
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Organization skills and flexibility to adapt to evolving student needs
Primary Duties:
- Conduct thorough student assessments and determine therapy needs
- Develop and execute personalized interventions aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school teams to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Provide direct, hands-on therapy in individual or small group settings
- Offer consultation and support to staff to foster inclusive student participation in all school activities
