Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state
- Previous experience in school-based, healthcare, or home health OT settings
- Strong understanding of pediatric mobility issues
- Proficiency in assisting with activities of daily living, such as eating and personal care
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one hour of direct OT services per week to a 5th grade student with mobility challenges
- Support the student during mealtime and with personal care needs, such as assisting with mobility and benign changing
- Collaborate with teaching staff, caregivers, and other professionals to implement strategies for functional independence
- Accurately document sessions and progress in accordance with school and OT best practices
- Adjust interventions as needed to help the student achieve goals and participate fully in their school environment
