School Occupational Therapist | Bronx, New York

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license for New York State
- Minimum of one year previous OT experience within a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
- Experience in developing and implementing IEP goals and documentation
- Ability to adapt sessions to meet a variety of student needs and abilities
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and committed to fostering student growth in diverse educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP requirements
- Conduct evaluations and reassessments to support student success
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other service providers to support integrated strategies
- Maintain accurate session records and timely documentation for compliance
- Consult with families and staff to support classroom accommodations and carryover of interventions
- Participate in meetings and communicate student progress and needs effectively
