Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Colorado OT licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working in school-based settings, with comfort spanning K-12 age groups
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, and implementing direct therapy
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Previous supervision of COTAs is advantageous
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and contribute expertise to the IEP team
- Supervise and support an on-site COTA, ensuring consistency and quality in therapy services
- Collaborate with educators, families, and staff across multiple school sites
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports according to district and legal guidelines
- Champion student independence in school participation and daily living activities
