Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bulverde, TX

This contract position focuses on K-10th grades and offers the opportunity to work one day per week on-site, supporting a small and manageable student caseload. The assignment is centered on evaluations and direct therapy, including working with a few autistic children, all of whom require your expertise in articulation fluency.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Texas State License in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy is beneficial, although this position is currently on-site
- Comfort and compassion working with neurodiverse students, including those on the autism spectrum
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with team members and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students K-10
- Deliver direct therapy tailored to individual needs, with a primary focus on articulation and fluency
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation on sessions and progress
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
- Adapt strategies to support students’ educational access and participation
- Provide input during IEP meetings as needed
