Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current OT licensure in the state (or eligibility)
- School-based occupational therapy experience (strongly preferred)
- Proficiency adapting interventions for students with severe/profound disabilities
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment helpful
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for students with special needs
- Develop and implement effective, individualized therapy goals and plans
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and related service staff within a multidisciplinary team
- Provide direct and consultative OT services, both 1:1 and in small groups
- Support access to curriculum and participation through modifications and adaptive strategies
- Document progress, maintain compliance with all educational guidelines and IEP requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, family communications, and professional development
