School Occupational Therapist - Cambridge, Massachusetts

What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist, eligible to practice in Massachusetts
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting
- Strong background supporting students with severe disabilities, including adapting interventions to meet individual needs
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Develop, implement, and review individualized intervention plans, ensuring alignment with students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other specialists to integrate therapy recommendations into daily routines
- Provide direct treatment and consultation, both individually and in groups, to enhance students’ participation, functional skills, and independence
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and IEP documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other school-based team discussions
- Offer training and guidance to school staff and families on strategies for fostering student growth
