Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active OT license (Massachusetts)
- Previous experience as an OT in a school setting or working with children preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEP goals
- Strong collaborative and communication skills to work with educators, parents, and support staff
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads and adapt strategies to individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as determined by their IEPs
- Assess students’ strengths and areas for growth, documenting progress
- Develop customized interventions and therapeutic activities to assist students with fine and gross motor skills, self-care, and classroom participation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate OT into students’ overall educational plans
- Offer guidance and support to teachers and parents on accommodating students’ therapeutic needs within the classroom
- Maintain accurate, timely records and participate in IEP meetings
