Key Qualifications:
- Active OT license (no COTA applicants, please)
- Demonstrated experience delivering school-based OT services, including developing and implementing IEPs
- Skilled in working with students with severe disabilities, autism, and behavioral challenges
- Strong data collection, progress monitoring, and therapy note documentation abilities
- Comfortable managing evaluation processes, reports, and collaborating with other professionals
- Reliable transportation and dependability for a consistent, full-time schedule
- Ability to pass fingerprint/background checks and drug screening
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct thorough evaluations, complete summaries, and write IEPs
- Monitor progress, collect data, and maintain accurate, timely therapy notes
- Review IEPs developed by COTAs as necessary
- Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff across grade levels
- Adhere to all district and regulatory requirements for student safety and privacy
