You'll play a crucial role in supporting student development and academic success, collaborating with a dedicated team using your specialized expertise.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Delaware Occupational Therapist (OT) license required (no COTAs).
- Demonstrated experience delivering therapy and progress monitoring in school settings.
- Skilled in writing IEPs, completing evaluations and summaries, and documenting therapy notes.
- Strong background supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges.
- Reliable transportation and comfort with the local commute.
- Ability to pass drug screen and fingerprint background check.
- Professionalism and punctuality are essential; prompt communication regarding absences required.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored OT interventions for students with varying and severe disabilities.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and inform intervention strategies.
- Prepare, review, and update IEPs; write evaluation summaries and update therapy notes as needed.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to optimize outcomes for each student.
- Ensure all documentation meets state and district requirements.
- Review IEPs created by COTAs when appropriate.
