Step into a rewarding contract role providing vital support as a Licensed Occupational Therapist! This full-time opportunity is dedicated to making a meaningful difference for students with severe disabilities, serving an engaging caseload of 35–40 students across a variety of grade levels. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and support staff to implement individualized therapy that drives student success and meets IEP goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), active and in good standing (COTAs not considered)
- Demonstrated experience in school settings, especially with students with severe disabilities, autism, and behavioral challenges
- Ability to manage comprehensive documentation: therapy notes, progress data, evaluation summaries, and IEPs
- Skilled at reviewing IEPs and collaborating with COTA documentation, as appropriate
- Reliable transportation and comfortable with the commute to the area
- Flexible to work full-time, 37.5 hours weekly (not including lunch); part-time candidates not eligible
- Able to pass drug screening, fingerprinting, and background checks
- Professional punctuality and reliability; prompt communication if unable to report to work
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted therapy services, adapting interventions to student needs
- Track progress with accurate data collection and progress monitoring
- Complete thorough evaluations and contribute detailed summaries
- Prepare and maintain compliant, individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support a positive, collaborative school culture by working alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team
