Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Pennsylvania
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school-based setting
- Knowledge of IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, aides, and parents
- Ability to adapt interventions and strategies to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor, sensory, and functional abilities within the educational environment
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to support academic achievement and functional independence
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to craft student-centered IEP goals and participate in meetings
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with a wide range of needs, focusing on fine motor skills, self-care, and classroom participation
- Maintain clear, timely documentation on student progress and treatment delivered
- Offer guidance to educators and families regarding accommodations or classroom modifications
- Engage in professional development and stay up-to-date with best practices in pediatric and school-based OT
