Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license from the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)
- Post-graduate OT degree (Master’s preferred)
- Demonstrated school-based occupational therapy experience (NC experience highly valued)
- Extensive knowledge of ECATS and IEP processes essential
- Required proficiency in Sensory Processing Measure–2 (SPM-2) and Sensory Profile 2 assessments
- Experience with standardized assessments and educational-based OT service delivery
- Ability to interpret assessment results in the context of educational programming and state standards
- Familiarity with documentation of school-based therapy services
Responsibilities:
- Conduct motor screenings, OT assessments, and develop intervention plans tailored to students’ educational goals
- Work collaboratively with educators and multidisciplinary teams across elementary, middle, and high schools
- Manage and document caseload based on a workload model with monthly reassessment for balance and efficacy
- Effectively implement and monitor IEPs and ensure compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in professional development and contribute to ongoing program improvement
- Complete necessary district onboarding steps, including NC Tracks registration and district-specific background checks
