Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and experience with pediatric populations
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions aligned with student IEPs
- Deliver both direct and consultative services to support student access to curriculum and school participation
- Maintain detailed therapy records, progress reports, and required documentation
- Educate teachers, support staff, and families on strategies to facilitate student success
- Collaborate with educators and other service providers to enhance the learning environment
