With an assignment rooted in a PreK Evaluation Center for the 26/27 school year, you’ll evaluate and assess 3–5-year-old children using engaging, play-based methods—3 to 4 days per week. The rest of your time will be spent providing direct therapy in vibrant PreK centers and serving students at a Middle School. Not only will you gain a resume-boosting variety of practical experiences, but you’ll also learn from diverse workplace practices and gain insight into leadership strategies unique to each setting.
Qualifications:
- Active OT license (or eligibility) in NC
- Experience with pediatric or school-based therapy preferred
- Strong play-based evaluation and assessment skills
- Comfortable working with young children and multi-disciplinary teams
- Effective communication and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct play-based evaluations for 3–5-year-old students at the Evaluation Center
- Provide direct therapy services at PreK centers and a Middle School
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure the best outcomes
- Maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements
