Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license
- Prior school-based OT experience preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and special education services
- Ability to adapt OT interventions to students’ unique learning needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to provide therapy services during school hours and as needed for ESY/compensatory programs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person occupational therapy to students on an as-needed basis
- Assess and document students’ needs, progress, and outcomes related to OT goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administration to create supportive learning environments
- Support ESY and provide compensatory services, ensuring students receive the necessary interventions
- Facilitate or participate in IEP meetings, reporting relevant therapy goals and progress
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and compliance guidelines
