Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Virginia is required.
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, ensuring effective interactions with students, educators, and families.
- Strong skills in planning and adapting individualized therapy programs for students’ unique needs.
- Ability to maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a variety of therapy services including direct sessions, consultations, and assessments for students with varying abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to support students’ functional independence and participation in school routines.
- Assist in planning interventions and modifications, providing strategies for classroom success.
