Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active occupational therapy license in Illinois (IL OT license)
- Demonstrated experience working within a school-based setting
- Familiarity with IEP processes and proven ability to write and implement effective IEPs
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver evidence-based therapy services to support academic, social, and functional participation at school
- Write measurable goals and monitor student progress in line with IEP requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom
- Maintain accurate, timely records and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate staff and families on interventions and adaptive strategies
