Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapy license/certification in Illinois is required
- Previous experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and changing schedules as needed
- Commitment to fostering an environment where all students can thrive
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide customized occupational therapy interventions to students in alignment with individual education plans (IEPs)
- Assess and document student progress, adjusting strategies to meet evolving needs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to develop supportive strategies and accommodations in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings to ensure cohesive care
- Deliver services on a flexible, part-time schedule (tentative days/hours determined by caseload)
