This part-time contract opportunity offers a dynamic and rewarding role within a well-established educational environment, collaborating with school staff to deliver vital therapeutic interventions that help students thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Active state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist, with registration through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
- Minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience, with at least three years specifically in a school setting
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to travel across two to three campus locations as needed
Position Highlights & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students in grades K-8, assessing and addressing individual needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized plans that foster student growth, participation, and independence in school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy goals into classroom settings and support each child’s educational experience
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
- Communicate regularly with staff and families regarding student progress and recommended strategies
- Flexible part-time schedule: 20 hours per week, with options to work two or three days as preferred
