Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of New Mexico
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP documentation and therapy planning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators and families
- Ability to provide evidence-based interventions for a diverse student population
- Commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized goals to facilitate participation in classroom activities
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop effective strategies
- Track student progress and participate in IEP meetings as an active team member
- Provide both direct and consultative support to ensure student needs are met
- Offer guidance and resources to classroom staff to integrate strategies throughout the school day
