Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with Illinois credentials (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based settings, especially with elementary-age students
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Adaptability in collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy services to a dedicated elementary caseload
- Assess student needs, document progress, and collaborate on goal setting
- Implement individualized therapy sessions, supporting diverse learning and developmental needs
- Cultivate a supportive therapeutic environment and help integrate sensory-motor activities within classroom settings
- Communicate progress and collaborate closely with teachers and parents for continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with documentation and timelines throughout the school year
